Sitting on the floor - no more as Cotabato Light provided 150 new chairs and desks to the pupils of Kusiong Elementary School. Indeed, it was not a good sight to behold and to endure by the youth of today whom we consider as our next generation and the hope of our nation.
Most of the pupils of of Kusiong Elementary School are from hinterlands. They walked many miles just to go to school. Thus, it is an inspiring environment to have a descent school facility that makes learning conducive for students.

On September 16, Cotabato Light and Power Company with the use of its Crane Boom Truck assisted the Rosary Heights (RH) Church in putting up its bell tower that’s weighing about 2,000 kilograms.
“We can hardly put up the church bell-tower because of its tremendous weight. It is too heavy for our men to carry and very risky too! Thus, we ask for assistance from Cotabato Light. And, indeed we are very thankful that Cotabato Light was there to give us a helping-hand to finish this noble project for the Christian community. Now, the people God can hear clearly and loud the calling of the Church.” The RH-Church bell tower project engineer said.

In the morning of September 22, 2011, a new heart in electric distribution of Cotabato Light was born after almost a year of painstaking efforts of the planning, design, and substation teams. Now, a newly constructed 10MVA 69/13.8kv Power substation – Malagapas substation has been energized and came to life.
From the look at it, we can tell that this 30M worth of power substation is world-class in itself with all that huge investment poured in it by Cotabato Light. And, that structure is strategically located in the southern part of Cotabato Light franchise area. With this new Power Substation, it will definitely improve Cotabato Light’s power reliability and system flexibility.

Just recently, an Aboitiz wide Accounting Forum was conducted and facilitated by SGV & Co. One of the objectives of the event was to “give a high level summary of revised standards in Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), amendments and interpretations applicable and subsequent to 31 December 2011”.
The two-day activity which was held from Sept 1-2, 2011 at Marriot Hotel Convention Cebu City was attended by different Accounting specialist from Cotabato Light, Davao Light, Subic Enerzone, MEZ/BEZ, Balamban, VECO, AboitizPower Co., Pilmico, and other company from Aboitiz group.

With the theme: “Decent working conditions for Stability, Higher Productivity & Competitiveness”, Cotabato Light Workers’ Union President Edmund Teves, VP Jonathan Acosta and treasurer Ms. Arlene Valdez adhered to participate in the Special General Assembly of Region XII Tripartite Industrial Peace Council held at Sydney Hotel, Gen. Santos City on September 20, 2011
The event was attended by 200 delegates from different government agencies such as DOLE XII, DILG, Overseas Filipino Workers , RTIPC's officers and members, the beneficiary of the fund assistance (WINAP) of Region XII and from various private sectors. The delegations were headed by Atty. Gloria A. Tango, CEO IV – Regional Director of DOLE 12.
