Today, there are a lot of changes and challenges in the technical side of providing electric power to the consumers. Consequently, there are several projects implemented to keep the electric transmission lines reliable and safe for the better benefit of the consumers and to strengthen the company’s anti-pilferage campaign.

With this scenario, all technical men including contractors must be aware and trained about the proper and safety procedures of climbing the pole, and also on the proper usage of Grip-all Clamp stick or “shotgun”.  Thus, the Engineering Customer Service section had initiated to have this orientation for safety and efficiency of contractors.

The training-orientation was conducted by Safety Officer Pepito Lubguban and T&D Supervisor Bernabe Parcasio on May 22, 2012, which was attended by Eight team members of JMJ Services contractor.  JMJ Services was contracted to do the meter connections, reconnections, and installations of street lights.  Actual applications of theories were done at Barangay Badak, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguidanao.

Aside from the Grip-All stick operation, the participants were also taught about the basic lineman training - a must have knowledge for every lineman. With this training, the Engineering Customer Service group is optimistic that safety and productivity will be enhanced and properly observed for better customer service.
