A NEW SCHOOL BUILDING FOR THE KIDS: Cotabato Light VP Crisente Ferolino gratefully handed the MOA to NDVCES principal Ms. Estrella Guiani for Cotabato Light’s commitment to donate new AGAPP classrooms.

The Cotabato Light and Power Company (CLPC), a member of Aboitiz group of companies, and Department of Education (DepEd) signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on May 20, 2013 as part of its advocacy to support educational program in our country.  In the MOA, Cotabato Light committed to donate another AGAPP building.  This time the beneficiary-recipient will be Notre Dame Village Elementary School (NDVCES).

We know the fact that education is one of the thrust of our government to address the long term problem on poverty and economic advancement.   Thus, we have now the K+12 program of DepEd. As a gesture of support and commitment, the Aboitiz group pledged to build and donate 48 million worth of AGAPP (Aklat, Gabay, Aruga tungo sa Pag-angat at Pag-asa) Silid Pangarap buildings through AGAPP Foundation.  For Cotabato Light, this project has been implemented since 2011.  To date, company is spending more than 3.5 million in providing a better venue of learning for the youth.

Present during the MOA signing were DepEd 12 OIC Asst. School Superintendent Conception Balawag, Admin Officer V – Atty. Johnny Balawag., NDVCES Principal Ms. Estrella Guiani and its officers, Cotabato Light VP & Resident Manager Crisente Ferolino, and CSR Team headed by CSR/HR Manager Ms. Anna Lea Lee Nataño.

With this donation, more pupils will benefit from this beautiful structures designed to enhance the learning environment of the children. Thus, we can say - Better days ahead!
