AN ASSEMBLY FOR PRODUCTIVITY & COMPETITIVENESS:  The CWU officers take a pose with DOLE officials during the Special General Assembly of Region XII Tripartite Industrial Peace Council.

With the theme: “Decent working conditions for Stability, Higher Productivity & Competitiveness”, Cotabato Light Workers’ Union President Edmund Teves, VP Jonathan Acosta and treasurer Ms. Arlene Valdez adhered to participate in the Special General Assembly of Region XII Tripartite Industrial Peace Council held at Sydney Hotel, Gen. Santos City on September 20, 2011

The event was attended by  200 delegates from different government agencies such as DOLE XII, DILG, Overseas Filipino Workers , RTIPC's officers and members, the beneficiary of the fund assistance (WINAP) of Region XII and from various private sectors. The delegations were headed by Atty. Gloria A. Tango, CEO IV – Regional Director of DOLE 12.

Gracing the one day assembly was DOLE Secretary Hon. Rosalinda Dimapilis – Baldoz, and in cooperation with the DOLE – Region XII Socksargen. She shared the 22 point plans that ensure the growth, transparency and mutual trust between the management and labor.

The assembly’s main objective were the overview and signing of the Voluntary Code of Good Practices-whose recipient were the Banana and Fishing industries of Socksargen region. And, the Incentivizing Compliance Program and selection of members of the Tripartite Certification committee, which also focused more on the welfare of humanity both labor and management, and the country as well.
