The power within your fingertips! – That is how we describe the new service facility of Cotabato Light in knowing our electric bills.  Text messaging is one of the most accessible and fastest ways for people to get instant information nowadays.  Hence, on June 25, Cotabato Light and Power Company launched its text messaging service for its customers dubbed as “ASKCLPC BILL”.

The launching was attended by Cotabato media from ABS-CBN, Mindanao Cross and Notre Dame Broadcasting Company – Radyo Bida.  The Cotabato Light officers and team leaders were also present during the event.

The ASKCLPC BILL is a new service that the company is providing to allow its customers to inquire the balance of their monthly electric bills through sms or text messaging.  To avail this service, customers just have to follow these simple steps:

Just type or key in ASKCLPC (space) BILL (space) your 10-digit Electric Account ID and send it to the following numbers:

391-2572 - for SMART, Talk ‘n Text subscribers

0922-999-2572 - for SUN Cellular, Globe and TM subscriber

Regular text messaging rates of P1.00 will be charged for every text message send.  The system’s response is on the account of Cotabato Light.

The company hopes to provide more convenience for its customers through this text messaging service.  Its customers will save time and money instead of visiting and/or calling the Cotabato Light office just to inquire and to know how much is their electric bills.

This service facility also offers more options for the customers to know their electric bills on demand – anytime they want to.  This digital billing information is also useful for customers upon paying at any of Cotabato Light’s payment collections channels – Third Party Collection Agents (TPCA), Accredited Banks, and at their Office.

On a wider perspective, this scheme has an environmental impact because the carbon footprints that we will contribute to the community will be reduced – less travel, less traffic and more productive time.  Who knows, maybe in the near future we will have paperless billing statement? – We can save more trees!
