Cotabato Light Engineering group has long been supportive of collaboration efforts. That is why, this year it is inviting colleagues as resource speakers for its Expanded P-learning and Technical (ExPaT) program in the spirit of cooperation and competency building for its workforce.

This initiative originally came from Davao Light & Power Co.'s Power Systems Planning Department (PSPD) P-learning, which has been in place for years. In this venue, technical topics are discussed by internal speakers and ideas shared. It supplements the existing know-how of employees in order to function with confidence in their respective fields. As this undertaking matured it is being replicated at Cotabato Light. With the leadership of Engr. Mark Sam P. Banluta, the P-Learning took a more responsive and expanded role, thus, the ExPaT or Expanded P-learning and Technical training program was born.

Heading the call for this first half as guest speakers are Engrs. Freddie Mark Mendoza and Jared Cuchapin, both from Davao Light's Planning department. Among the topics cascaded were the AP DU Planning Manual, Insulation Coordination, Lightning Protection, and the Tree Wire guidelines. Just recently DLPC-RPD Head Engr. Kyd Dabon shared inputs on System Loss Management. Moving forward, the holding of ExPaT will be a quarterly commitment aimed to advance the competency and capability of Cotabato Light employees in order to seek ways for improvement and to drive change for a better world.
