Cotabato Light Actively Participates in 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Cotabato City, June 19, 2025 - Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held in Cotabato City as part of its continued commitment to safety, disaster preparedness, and community resilience.

This marks the second time Cotabato Light has been selected as one of the sites to be observed by key agencies such as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Red Cross, Philippine National Police (PNP), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Cotabato City Health Office and Cotabato City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. Their presence reflects the company’s adherence to safety protocols and its role in promoting a culture of readiness among employees and stakeholders. 

"We would like to commend everyone for their active participation and cooperation throughout the exercise.” said SFO1 Leah Pangilan, Chief Intelligence and Investigation Unit, BFP. “The drill was conducted smoothly with participants demonstrating awareness, discipline, and adherence to safety protocols. Preparedness activities like this are vital in strengthening our collective readiness during actual emergencies."
