The overall residential rate of Cotabato Light went up by P1.7458 per kilowatt hour (kWh) this November, increasing the rate to Php 9.8312/kWh from P8.0854/kWh last month. This rate applies to bills received from November 18, 2025 to December 17, 2025.

The increase in electricity rates is mainly because of higher generation and transmission charges. Generation costs rose due to increased power supply prices from the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), while transmission charges increased due to adjustments made by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

Additionally, revisions to the Feed-In Tariff Allowance (FIT-All) and the Environmental Charge, as directed by the latest Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) guidelines, also contributed to the overall increase.

With this, Cotabato Light continues to encourage customers to manage their energy consumption and use electricity wisely to avoid high electricity bill.
