Cotabato Light Strengthens Safety Culture Through 2025 Safety Olympics

Cotabato City, November 22, 2025 – Cotabato Light & Power Company reinforces its commitment to workplace safety with the launch of the Safety Olympics 2025, an annual event dedicated to strengthening safe work practices among employees, service providers, and contractors in the power industry.

“At Cotabato Light, safety is our number one priority. And we want to emphasize that this commitment is not only for our employees—it also extends to all service providers and contractors who work with us in the power industry,” Valentin S. Saludes III, the President and COO of Cotabato Light said. “Because our work is high-risk, we must all follow the same standards and uphold the same level of discipline. Even a single unsafe act can lead to serious consequences.”

The Safety Olympics is more than just a competitive or recreational activity. It is a strategic initiative designed to enhance teamwork, safety awareness, and collective responsibility across all field operations.

Cotabato Light also extends its gratitude to Notre Dame University (NDU) for participating and allowing the use of their area as the venue for the Safety Olympics, and to Cotabato City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), City Health Office of Cotabato, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Marine Battalion Landing Team-6 for their invaluable support in ensuring the success and safety of the activity.
