He reaffirmed MENRE's commitment to positioning BARMM as a leading destination for renewable energy investments.
"The Bangsamoro Government, through the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy remains committed to creating an enabling environment for renewable energy investments. Today's SEOC awarding demonstrates that BARMM is ready to welcome investments that support our goal in achieving energy security while protecting the environment."
Minister Brahim also emphasized that communities will remain at the center of the region's clean energy transition.
"As we move forward, MENRE will continue to strengthen policies that encourage responsible renewable energy investments and ensure that the benefits of these projects are shared by our communities. We envision a Bangsamoro where clean energy drives economic progress, enhances energy security and contributes to a healthier environment for future generations."
Representatives from MENRE, the local government, and project proponents likewise expressed their commitment to ensuring the successful implementation of the Cleanergy 10 Solar Energy Project, recognizing its potential to contribute to environmental protection, sustainable economic development, and long-term energy resilience for Cotabato City and the wider Bangsamoro region.
