Cotabato City – Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light), in its continuous effort to foster transparency and empower communities, conducted a “Power 101” information session last Monday, July 21, 2025, with barangay officials of Cotabato City as part of its strategic information dissemination initiatives.

This activity highlights Cotabato Light’s commitment to strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders and promote public understanding of power distribution, energy efficiency, and electrical safety.

The Power 101 session provided barangay officials and representatives with clear and practical information on:

  • Power Industry;

  • Service Application;

  • Understanding  Electricity Bill;

  • Anti-pilferage campaigns and safety reminder;

  • Factors affecting the Planned/Unplanned Power Interruption;

  • Power Line Obstruction; and

  • Other initiatives.

Through this program, Cotabato Light aims to bridge the information gap between the utility and the community it serves, ensuring that barangay leaders are well-informed and can cascade key messages to their constituents.

“This is more than just an information session — it’s a platform for collaboration and empowerment,” said Valentin S. Saludes III - Cotabato Light President & COO. “We believe that informed communities are safer, more energy-efficient, and better equipped to support reliable power services.”

As part of its continuing engagement efforts, Cotabato Light will soon be conducting Pulong-Pulong sa Barangay, a more localized dialogue series where community members can raise concerns, ask questions, and receive real-time updates on power-related services directly from the company’s representatives.

Cotabato Light extends its appreciation to all participating barangays and looks forward to continuing these engagements as part of its public education and information drive.
