Cotabato City — December 11, 2025 On this significant day, Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) celebrated a historic milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the 69kV Dedicated Sub-Transmission Line Project—an undertaking that underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to enhancing power reliability and service across its franchise area.
In recent months, recurring weekend power interruptions originating from National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) have posed challenges to our consumers. With the construction of this new dedicated sub-transmission line, Cotabato Light aims to significantly reduce these outages and ensure a more stable, efficient, and reliable supply of electricity for Cotabato City, and portions of Sultan Kudarat, and Datu Odin Sinsuat Municipalities in the province of Maguindanao del Norte
In his message, Arsenio Jovero III, Customer Service Group Manager, emphasized the importance of this project for the community:
“Today marks the foundation of a brighter and more reliable future for the people of Sultan Kudarat, Cotabato City, and Datu Odin Sinsuat. I extend my deepest appreciation to every individual, team, and stakeholder whose dedication made this moment possible.
This 69kV dedicated sub-transmission line is more than an infrastructure project—it is a vital pathway for progress, strengthening our distribution network and supporting the growing demand for electricity.
We are committed to completing this project with the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility, building a resilient system that will serve our communities for generations. Thank you for your support and shared vision as we work together toward a better and brighter future.”
This project forms part of Cotabato Light’s broader initiative to continuously elevate the quality of its service, strengthen its distribution system capacity, and meet the growing energy needs of households, businesses, and industries in the region.
